Stripped-down Sunn O))) Life Pedal-inspired octave fuzz — a RAT-style circuit with an added octave voice.
The Corn Dog Fuzz is a beautiful accident turned essential. Born from a misstep while building The Hot Dog, this fuzz pedal strips things back to the raw essentials — delivering the crushing fuzz of the iconic Sunn O))) Life Pedal without any of the extra noise.
At its core, it's a RAT-style fuzz with an added octave control, giving you the power to layer in upper-octave harmonics for rich, snarling textures — or dial them back for pure distortion bliss. No nonsense, no fluff: just thick, aggressive fuzz with earth-rattling tone.
Whether you're summoning drone-heavy doom riffs or want a fuzz that rips with clarity and punch, the Corn Dog is a no-frills, high-impact circuit that gets straight to the point.
Controls
- Vol — pedal output level
- Drive — gain and saturation
- Tone — top-end / filter control
- Octave — blends in an upper-octave harmonic voice

How is this different from The Hot Dog? The Hot Dog is the full Sunn O))) Life Pedal-inspired build with 6 knobs, EQ, clipping switch, and boost. The Corn Dog is the stripped-down essentials — just the RAT-style fuzz with an octave.
Will it work on bass? Yes — the RAT circuit is a classic bass fuzz / distortion choice, and the octave adds harmonic weight.
