The Juniper is the Canine Chaos Society's glitch fuzz — sputtering, gated, self-oscillating chaos, named for NOKILL's blue-eyed parvo survivor.

Every pedal in the Canine Chaos Society is a real rescue dog. Juniper is the three-year-old weirdo of the pack — a foster-fail parvo survivor, blue-eyed and stoic, the biggest and strangest of the crew. Her circuit is the chaos on top of the pile: unstable, unpredictable, and beautifully broken.

Built as NOKILL's tribute to the legendary ZVex Fuzz Factory, The Juniper is a living, breathing malfunction — from velcro-ripping gated textures to infinite, screaming feedback loops. Manipulate stability and compression to find the sweet spots where notes bloom into radio squeals or collapse into an 8-bit sputter. You play the knobs as much as the strings. 10% of every sale goes to One Tail at a Time West Texas (OTAT WTX) — the rescue where Juniper herself was saved.

Controls

  • Vol — pedal output level
  • Gate — noise gate threshold; lower for sputter, higher for clean tails
  • Comp — compression and feedback character
  • Drive — input gain and overall saturation
  • Stab — stability of the oscillation; pushes the circuit into and out of self-oscillation

FAQ

Who is Juniper? Juniper is one of NOKILL founder Alex's real rescue dogs — a blue-eyed, three-year-old parvo survivor and the weirdo of the pack — and this glitch fuzz carries her name, face, and story for good.

Does buying The Juniper support a rescue? Yes. 10% of every sale goes to One Tail at a Time West Texas (OTAT WTX), the rescue where Juniper was saved.

Is it hard to dial in? It rewards exploration. There are sweet spots all over the knobs, but the pedal is designed to be unstable — that's the point.

Will it work on bass? Yes, though you'll want to spend time balancing the Gate to keep the low end intact.

What power supply do I need? Standard 9V DC center-negative. Isolated supplies are recommended for low-noise glitch behavior.

Handbuilt in Portland, OR by NOKILL Pedal Co. Embrace the noise. Be kind in the chaos.
