The Coco is the Canine Chaos Society's octave glitch fuzz — thick octave-down fuzz that falls apart on command, named for a downtown San Diego stray turned certified wild woman.

Every pedal in the Canine Chaos Society is a real rescue dog. Coco was found as a stray in downtown San Diego, seriously sick from eating something toxic, and the San Diego Humane Society nursed her back to health before her family brought her home. Now almost two, she's the happiest girl you'll ever meet and a wild woman through and through (she also answers to Coco Loco and Coconut). Tug-of-war champion, chaser and chasee, best friend to every dog at the park, and first in line for beach days, camping trips, hikes, and car rides.

Her circuit matches her energy. It starts as a bold, solid octave fuzz with a Blend knob so you can keep some of your dry signal in the wreckage, and one flip of the two-octaves-down switch drops a sub voice well below your note for deep, subby weight. Then stomp the Glitch footswitch — the bark button — and it all falls apart: bitcrushed, video-game-style destruction, like tossing a Sega Saturn into a washing machine. Stomp it again to come back. 10% of every sale goes to the San Diego Humane Society, the shelter that saved Coco.

FAQ

Who is Coco? Coco is a real rescue dog — a former downtown San Diego stray, saved by the San Diego Humane Society, now almost two and the wild woman of the pack — and this glitch fuzz carries her name, face, and story for good.

Was The Coco sold under another name? Yes. Before joining the Canine Chaos Society, this circuit went by its kennel name, the Borzoi Glitch Fuzz. Joining the pack gave it Coco's name for good, so it's now The Coco, FKA Borzoi Glitch Fuzz.

Does buying The Coco support a rescue? Yes. 10% of every sale goes to the San Diego Humane Society, the shelter that nursed Coco back to health.

What does the Glitch footswitch do? It switches a bitcrushed, broken-game-cartridge glitch on and off. Stomp it to engage, stomp it again to return to the fuzz.

What does the two-octaves-down switch do? It adds a sub voice two octaves below your input — great for doom riffs and extra weight on bass.

What does the Blend knob do? It sets how much of your dry signal stays in alongside the fuzz, so you can keep note definition under the chaos.

Does it work on bass? Yes — the octave-down voice and the bitcrush glitch are especially heavy on bass.

What power supply do I need? Standard 9V DC center-negative.
