The W.O.O.F. is a fully programmable digital multi-effect pedal built on the Daisy Seed platform. Flash any effect from your browser — no software to install, no cables to configure. Just USB and Chrome.

Pre-loaded with the Kelpie — a logic-noise fuzz that layers frequency dividers, XOR gating, Schmitt oscillators, and crosstalk over a thick fuzz foundation. But that's just the starting point. Visit the W.O.O.F. Flasher to load any of our growing library of effects in seconds.

What makes it different

Most digital pedals lock you into one sound. The W.O.O.F. is an open platform — flash a stutter fuzz today, a granular delay tomorrow, a shimmer reverb next week. Every effect is built from the ground up by NOKILL, circuit-modeled and tuned by ear. And because it runs on the FunBox platform, it's compatible with any FunBox-format firmware from the open-source community.

Available effects (free, flash anytime)

  • Fuzz Destroyer — Stutter fuzz with self-oscillation, octave up/down, wave fold, sample crush, stereo detune, MIDI pitch lock
  • Fuzz Modulator — Granular glitch fuzz with stereo pingpong, wave-folding, stutter, auto-warp, momentary delay repeats
  • Kelpie (Audrey II) — Logic-noise fuzz with pitch-tracked drone, sub-growl, breathing, envelope-driven gain
  • Cursed Reverb — Shimmer reverb with pitch-shifted feedback, saturation, and modulated delay
  • Doom Engine — Distortion with rectify, ring mod, decimator, and resonant filter
  • Echo Chamber — Multi-head tape delay with stretch, aging, and reverse mode
  • Treat Octave Fuzz — Octave destroyer with iMic-style ADC clipping and lo-fi drop

Controls

  • 6 knobs — dedicated parameter controls (varies per effect)
  • 3 toggle switches — three-position mode selectors
  • 4 DIP switches — stackable effect modifiers
  • 2 footswitches — bypass + effect-specific (momentary/latch)
  • Expression pedal input — assignable to any parameter
  • MIDI in/out — full CC control of all parameters (CC 14-21)
  • Stereo outputs — L/R for stereo effects

How flashing works

  1. Hold both footswitches while plugging in USB
  2. Go to nokill-pedal-co.github.io/woof-firmware
  3. Select an effect, click Connect, click Flash
  4. Done in under 2 minutes. No software to install.

FAQ

Can I flash my own custom firmware? Yes. The W.O.O.F. runs on the FunBox platform, which is open-source. If you write or find any FunBox-compatible firmware, you can flash it the same way — through the browser or via the Daisy Seed's DFU mode.

Do I need to open the enclosure to flash new effects? No. Just plug in a USB-C cable and use the W.O.O.F. Flasher website. Hold both footswitches while connecting to enter flash mode. The enclosure stays closed.

What power supply do I need? Standard 9V DC center-negative pedal power, but it draws around 300mA — more than a typical analog pedal. Use an isolated power supply output rated for at least 300mA. Do NOT use a daisy-chain cable shared with other pedals.

Is this a multi-effect? Can I run multiple effects at once? Each firmware is a single effect with deep controls. You flash one effect at a time. But many of the effects have multiple layers built in — for example, the Fuzz Destroyer combines stutter, oscillation, octave, wave fold, and sample crush all in one.

Will more effects be added? Yes. NOKILL is actively developing new effects for the W.O.O.F. platform. When a new effect drops, just visit the flasher page and load it — no hardware changes needed.

What's the expression pedal input for? You can map the expression pedal to any parameter on any effect. Hold both footswitches for 0.5 seconds to enter expression learn mode, move a knob to assign it, then use the expression pedal to control that parameter hands-free.

Handbuilt in Portland, OR. Every W.O.O.F. pedal is assembled, tested, and etched by hand at NOKILL HQ.
